<b><big>Travis' report<br>
</big></b>Travis reports that there are two new crews recently returned
from CA. They picked up signature sheets from Tyrone tonight and will
start tomorrow. They will be carrying just #8. <br>
<br>
Harry - How many volunteer signatures? Total number of volunteer
signatures is 20,152.<br>
<br>
Travis - We need 25K more signatures on #8. June 1st is the bonus
deadline. Need $12K-$15K in the P.net account by June 1st to cover
bonuses.<br>

Dan - Tomorrow is early turn-in, we need to monitor the turn-in process
to see what new unwritten changes the SoS imposes. Tim Tricky intends
to turn in early. After tomorrows early turn-in we should expect to see
some signature gatherers freed up. Keisling will probably file
tomorrow. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Dan and Linda to monitor
early signature turn-ins</span><br>
Harry - Will Sec of State announce new rules? Dan - SoS will use new
rules, then announce them. <br>
Bryn - What has been the avg cost per sig? Travis estimates $1.20/sig<br>
Bryn - Has anyone challenged "unwritten SoS rules? Yes, Dan and Linda.
Lost solely on grounds of standing. Seeing continued demonizing of the
initiative process, further restrictions on initiative proces in the
name of "protecting against fraud", court rulings on initiative process
very discouraging.<br>

all FEO donors<br>
-5,000 piece mailing going out tomorrow(will not include petition
sheets)<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Tyrone will looking into
adding #8 petition sheets to mailings.</span><br>
-Party in Eugene June 6th (<span style="font-weight: bold;">requests
$500 for beer/pizza budget</span>) Request <span
style="font-weight: bold;">approved</span>.<br>
-phone bank will switch from fundraising to calling for volunteers to
return signature sheets(need to establish earlier turn-in date - June
20th so that we have time to make corrections to volunteer sheets, <span
style="font-weight: bold;">Dan will setup process for FAX'ing in
sheets for corrections</span>) <span style="font-weight: bold;">Liz
will update CFR-announce with latest email additions</span><br>
-<span style="font-weight: bold;">request $150 for table at the Dems
convention</span> in Eugene this coming weekend. Howard Dean will
attend. Have volunteers to staff the table(need to have OurOregon flyer
available for Dems) Request <span style="font-weight: bold;">approved</span>.<br>

Lengthy discussion on how Peter Sorenson can help. Peter wants to help
however he is in Europe for the next 3 weeks, returning June 18th so
other than accessing his donor/volunteer/email lists there isn't much
Pete can do till he returns. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Travis
will see about getting access to Pete's lists.</span><br>

Jim Hill contacted Dan for support. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Dan

</span><big><span style="font-weight: bold;">Discussion on Rose Fest
Floral Parade Planning</span></big><br>
Travis has his hands full with the paid signature gathering effort. Who
will organize the volunteer signature gathering effort at the Rose
Festival. In particular the Floral Parade. Max and Cherie? David? Lloyd?<span
style="font-weight: bold;"> Harry will call Max, Cherie, David. </span><br>

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Errors on volunteer sig sheets</span><br>
What do we do with errors on volunteer sig sheets? If the sig sheet is
missing a circulator's signature Liz has been returning the sheets to
the circulator with a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a letter
explaining the SoS requirement that the circulator sign the bottom of
the sheet. Most sheets are returned. Travis will return sheets to Linda
to determine what to do with errors on these sheets. The most vexing
problem is an invalid date on the circulator's certificate. Even
seasoned circulator's have been tripped up by this. Other problems:
funky circulator's signatures, signatures from more than one county on
the same sheet. <br>

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Harry - appeal to Oregon Supreme
Court?, any negative press?, OurOregon?</span><br>
Dan - petition for reconsideration filed yesterday, petition for
review(Atty Gen'l) in late July at the earliest. Dan asked for and
received letter from the SoS stating that they will accept #8 and will
put it on the ballot not withstanding any court order to do otherwise.
No negatives in the press. Nothing new from OurOregon. <br>
Harry - Any more validity checking? Dan - not much point unless
TechSpeed gains access to historical voter data. Need to recheck
earlier TechSpeed validity sample to make sure duplicate sheets were
not entered. If so that would account for the high rate of duplicates. <span
style="font-weight: bold;">Travis will check on whether there were
duplicates in the TechSpeed sample. </span><br>
Harry - suggests that we <span style="font-weight: bold;">hold weekly
meetings</span>. Thursday, 8pm, same teleconference number. <span
style="font-weight: bold;">Suggestion accepted.</span><br>
Harry - turn-in process? All signature sheets need to be sorted by
county? Dan - July 6th we rent a room in Salem and spend all day
sorting. Travis - Almost everything for #8 is sorted by county, haven't
started on #37. Dan - SoS requires that the sig sheets be sorted by
county and numbered.<br>
